Saaf - Carbendazim 12% + Mancozeb 63% WP - UPL

ABOUT

SAAF by UPL is a systemic and contact fungicide containing Carbendazim 12% + Mancozeb 63% WP. It is label-recommended for controlling specified fungal diseases in groundnut, paddy, potato, tea, grape, mango, chilli, maize and apple.

Its combined systemic and contact action supports internal and surface protection when used strictly according to the crop-specific directions on the product label. SAAF is also approved as a seed treatment for specified diseases of groundnut.

HOW TO USE

1. Confirm that the crop and disease are listed on the current product label.
2. Measure the crop-specific formulation rate and water volume shown on the label.
3. Mix the product thoroughly with clean water and keep the suspension well mixed before and during spraying.
4. Apply when disease symptoms appear using suitable spraying equipment and ensure uniform crop coverage.
5. Observe the crop-specific waiting period between the last spray and harvest.
6. For groundnut seed treatment, prepare a slurry using 2.5 g product and 10 ml water per kg of seed, coat uniformly, shade-dry, and sow the same day or next day.
7. Wash the sprayer, utensils, hands and exposed skin thoroughly after application.

SAFETY

• Wear a hat, long-sleeved shirt, long trousers and shoes during mixing and application.
• Avoid contact with eyes and skin, and avoid breathing spray mist.
• Do not eat, drink or smoke during application; wash thoroughly afterward.
• Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated and locked place, away from heat, food and animal feed.
• Do not reuse empty packs, prevent water contamination, and avoid use near aquaculture because the label warns it is toxic to fish and aquatic organisms.
• Use only on crops and target problems listed on the current pack label.
