FMC Gilardo Topramezone 336 g/L SC Maize Herbicide

Gilardo is a selective early post-emergence maize herbicide containing Topramezone 336 g/L (w/v) SC, equivalent to 33.6% w/v. It controls listed grasses and broadleaf weeds through root and shoot uptake.

Use note: Maize only. Apply once at 75–100 ml/ha with methylated seed oil at 2 ml/L spray water when weeds are at the 2–3-leaf stage.

Mode of Action

Topramezone inhibits HPPD (HRAC Group 27), disrupting protective pigment formation and causing bleaching in susceptible weeds. Rotate programmes and integrate non-chemical control.

Application Guide

• Apply once when weeds are at the 2–3-leaf stage in a moist, well-prepared maize field.
• Use a flat-fan nozzle and complete weed coverage.
• Do not apply when rain is expected within two hours and do not assume universal insecticide compatibility.

• Avoid drift, overlap, water contamination and container reuse.
