Gallant is a selective systemic post-emergence grass herbicide containing Haloxyfop-R-Methyl 10.5% w/w EC (10.8% w/v). It controls labelled grasses through foliar uptake and movement to growing points.

Use note: The current Corteva page verifies soybean. Corteva also obtained a cotton endorsement, but publish or apply that use only if the stocked Gallant leaflet carries it. Onion, blackgram and mentha endorsements held by other registrants are not included.

Mode of Action

Haloxyfop-R-Methyl inhibits ACCase (HRAC Group 1), stopping fatty-acid synthesis in susceptible grasses after foliar absorption. Rotate weed programmes and integrate non-chemical control.
