HPM Gadar Pendimethalin 30% EC Pre-Emergence Herbicide

Gadar is a selective Pendimethalin 30% EC pre-emergence herbicide for crop-specific annual grasses and broadleaf weeds. It is applied uniformly to soil immediately after sowing.

Use note: The current ACFI scope lists wheat, rice, cotton, soybean and pigeon pea. Chilli and onion from HPM's older page are excluded unless the current Gadar insert confirms them.

Mode of Action

Pendimethalin inhibits microtubule assembly (HRAC Group 3), preventing normal cell division in susceptible germinating weeds. Rotate weed programmes and integrate cultural control.

Application Guide

• Apply uniformly to prepared soil immediately after sowing and before weeds emerge.
• Adjust the wheat rate to soil texture exactly as the pack directs.
• Do not claim control of all weeds or extend use to chilli and onion without the current insert.

Safety and Stewardship

• Wear label PPE and prevent drift and runoff.
• Very toxic to fish; do not contaminate water or use in rice areas combined with aquaculture or pisciculture.
• Follow the physical pack for re-entry and first aid.
