Eliwid - Topramezone 336 g/L w/v SC - ADAMA
ADAMA Eliwid contains Topramezone 336 g/L SC, a selective post-emergence maize herbicide in HRAC/WSSA Group 27. It controls the labelled grassy and broadleaf weeds when applied at 75–100 ml/ha with methylated seed oil at 2 ml/L in 375 L water/ha.
Item description
ADAMA Eliwid Maize Herbicide Overview
ADAMA Eliwid contains Topramezone 336 g/L SC. It is a selective systemic post-emergence herbicide for young grassy and broadleaf weeds in maize. The label specifies a methylated seed oil adjuvant to support uptake.
Use note: Maize only. Apply 75–100 ml/ha with methylated seed oil at 2 ml/L in 375 L water/ha when weeds are young. Do not add atrazine unless the current Eliwid pack explicitly directs the tank mix.
Key Product Benefits
- Grass and broadleaf control: Covers the specified annual grass and broadleaf weed complex in maize.
- Low-dose concentrate: Registered formulation rate is 75–100 ml/ha.
- Systemic post-emergence activity: Controls young, actively growing weeds after emergence.
- Group 27 HPPD inhibition: Causes characteristic bleaching in susceptible weeds.
- Store options: 15 ml, 30 ml and 75 ml variants.

How Eliwid Works
Topramezone inhibits 4-hydroxyphenylpyruvate dioxygenase (HPPD). Susceptible weeds cannot form protective pigments, causing new growth to bleach, stop and die. Systemic movement helps act on growing points after foliar uptake.

Application Guide
- Apply post-emergence when listed weeds are young, actively growing and preferably at the 2–3-leaf stage.
- Measure Eliwid and methylated seed oil separately; add both as directed to clean water with agitation.
- Calibrate for 375 L water/ha and spray uniformly in calm conditions.
- Protect adjacent crops from drift and observe the 83-day PHI.
Safety and Stewardship
- Use only in maize and on the labelled weed complex.
- Do not include atrazine unless the current Eliwid label provides an authorised tank-mix direction.
- Wear label-specified protective equipment and avoid spray contact or inhalation.
- Prevent drift, runoff and contamination of water; store and dispose of the container as directed.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is an adjuvant required?
Yes. The verified label specifies methylated seed oil at 2 ml/L.
Can atrazine be added?
Only if the current Eliwid pack explicitly provides that tank-mix direction; no atrazine rate is inferred here.
What symptoms appear on susceptible weeds?
Group 27 HPPD inhibition causes bleaching of new growth before weeds stop growing and die.
