Batista - Carbendazim 46.27% SC - HPM

HPM Batista Carbendazim 46.27% SC Fungicide

HPM Batista is a systemic suspension-concentrate fungicide containing Carbendazim 500 g/L or 46.27% SC. Its verified Indian uses are powdery mildew in grapes and mango at 100 ml per 100 L water.

The label lists a 30-day PHI for grapes and a 15-day PHI for mango. Carbendazim is a high-resistance-risk FRAC Group 1 fungicide, so any different-group alternative must be a separate, label-directed application rather than a tank-mix instruction.

Item description

HPM Batista: Product Overview

HPM Batista is a suspension-concentrate systemic fungicide containing Carbendazim 500 g/L or 46.27% SC. Its verified Indian uses are powdery mildew in grapes and mango.

Carbendazim belongs to the methyl benzimidazole carbamate, or MBC, fungicides in FRAC Group 1. HPM describes Batista as protective and curative, with absorption through roots and green tissues followed by upward, or acropetal, movement. The registered foliar directions below are crop-specific and should not be extended to unlisted crops, diseases, seed treatments or soil applications.

The label rate is concentration-based: 100 ml formulation per 100 L water, equivalent to 0.1% formulation, with total water stated as “as required.” Because no fixed hectare or acre water volume is supplied, do not publish a universal dose per acre or acres-per-pack claim.

Why Choose Batista?

  • Two clearly verified uses: the current Indian label lists grape and mango powdery mildew.
  • Systemic movement: HPM states that Carbendazim is absorbed through green tissue and moves upward in the plant.
  • Protective and curative role: the manufacturer positions Batista for both protective use and early disease control.
  • SC formulation: the active ingredient is dispersed in a liquid suspension concentrate for dilution in the spray tank.
  • Crop-specific waiting periods: the verified PHI is 30 days for grapes and 15 days for mango.

How Batista Works

  1. Systemic uptake: Carbendazim is absorbed through roots and green tissue and moves acropetally toward growing plant parts.
  2. Cell-division disruption: FRAC classifies Carbendazim in Group 1. It interferes with beta-tubulin assembly and fungal mitosis.
  3. Growth inhibition: HPM states that it inhibits germ-tube development, appressorium formation and mycelial growth.
  4. Resistance stewardship: FRAC describes resistance to MBC fungicides as common in many fungal species and notes positive cross-resistance within the group. Thiophanate-methyl, Benomyl, Thiabendazole and other Group 1 products are not different-group rotations.

Verified Crops, Dose, Water, PHI and Timing

Crop Disease Active-Ingredient Rate Formulation Rate Water Crop Stage Re-entry PHI Timing / Frequency
Grapes Powdery mildew 0.046%, or 46 g/100 L water 0.1%, or 100 ml/100 L water As required Vegetative stage through flower and fruit setting 24 hours 30 days First spray when disease symptoms appear; repeat at 7-10-day intervals as needed and only within label limits.
Mango Powdery mildew 0.046%, or 46 g/100 L water 0.1%, or 100 ml/100 L water As required Vegetative stage through flower and fruit setting 24 hours 15 days First spray when disease symptoms appear; repeat at 7-10-day intervals as needed and only within label limits.

PHI = pre-harvest interval. Do not apply during crop maturity or just before harvest. Export programs may impose different residue intervals; export growers must follow the current buyer, destination-market and APEDA protocol in addition to the Indian label.

Application and Safety

  • Apply as a foliar spray, preferably in the morning or evening during clear, rain-free weather. Avoid application in high wind.
  • Dilute the measured formulation first in a small quantity of water and stir well. Add the remaining required water and mix again. A knapsack sprayer with a flat-fan nozzle or a foot sprayer is listed on the label.
  • This page makes no tank-mix or compatibility recommendation. Every Related or rotation product shown below is a standalone option for a separate, label-directed application.
  • Avoid inhalation and skin or eye contact. Do not mix with bare hands. Wear full protective clothing, rubber gloves, boots and suitable face or respiratory protection. Pregnant women should avoid contact with Carbendazim formulations.
  • Do not use where fish, livestock or aquaculture may be harmed. Prevent spray and rinsate from contaminating streams, lakes, ponds or other water.
  • Store under lock and key in the original labelled container, separate from food and other articles, in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place.
  • If eyes are exposed, flush with plenty of clean water. Wash contaminated skin with soap and water. After ingestion, rinse the mouth and never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Obtain medical help and show the label. No specific antidote is known; treatment is symptomatic.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are Batista's verified Indian uses?
Powdery mildew in grapes and mango. No other crop, disease, seed-treatment, root-dip or soil-drench claim is made here.

What is the verified Batista dose?
Use 100 ml formulation per 100 L water for the two listed foliar uses. The label states total water as “as required,” so a universal per-acre dose is not published.

When should Batista be applied?
The label lists the vegetative stage through flower and fruit setting. Begin when symptoms appear and repeat at 7-10-day intervals as needed within all current label restrictions.

What is the waiting period?
The PHI is 30 days for grapes and 15 days for mango, with a 24-hour re-entry period for both uses.

What is Batista's FRAC group?
Carbendazim is FRAC Group 1. Because resistance and cross-resistance within MBC fungicides are well documented, another Group 1 product is not a different-group rotation.
